HYDRATION
  • Airsoft is a sport. Like any other sport, hydration is very important. Getting enough to drink before, during and after a sport or physical activity is essential. For every hour of activity, up to 2 quarts of fluid – and salt can be lost by your body. Getting dehydrated puts you at risk of headaches, cramping and more serious complications like heat stroke or other heat disease.
  • Health experts explain that running low on water and electrolytes in your system can affect:
    • Athletic performance. Water cushions the joints, and being dehydrated can affect your flexibility and speed.
    • Endurance. Hydration is essential for proper muscle function (including the heart muscles), and it helps you avoid cramps.
    • Breathing. When you inhale, you need body fluids to moisten the air so it’s easier to absorb oxygen through your lungs.
    • Mood. Your brain needs water to work. Just as a drop in blood sugar can make a person “hangry,” dehydration can affect mood and concentration and cause headaches and irritability.
SITTING/PARTY/STAGING AREA
  • A covered “staging” area is provided next to the shop with picnic tables for players (and non-players) to setup their equipment, rest between games, etc.
  • This same area is utilized by staff to “rally-up” for games (i.e. perform a safety briefing, explain game rules, etc.).
  • Parties are welcome to utilize this area for their celebrations, etc. and up to two(2) tables can be reserved for a party upon request (please contact 878 Airsoft management to make arrangements).
SPECTATING OF GAMES
  • 878 Airsoft has 170+ acres of varied terrain and multiple playing fields.  There are no specific “spectating” areas, non-players are welcome to observe the games on the field at no cost, but must adhere to the following and be aware you may accidentally get hit with a airsoft BB.
  • A valid waiver MUST be on file with 878 Airsoft (see: “WAIVER REQUIREMENTS” section above).
  • Footwear requirements (see: “WHAT TO WEAR” section above).
  • Appropriate full-seal eye protection (Available in the shop at no cost. NO sunglasses or regular prescription eyewear permitted).
EXPLANATIONS OF WRISTBANDS
  • Upon checking-in at 878 Airsoft to play, every player will receive a wristband.
  • 18 & up will receive one (1) wristband.
  • Minors (< 18 years old) will receive two (2) wristbands.
    • Admission wristband – Shows 878 Airsoft field staff that the player has checked-in at the shop to verify they have a valid waiver on file and have paid.
    • “Minor” wristband – Shows 878 Airsoft field staff that the player is under 18 years of age (< 18 years old) and are required not only to have appropriate full-seal eye protection but MUST have appropriate face protection (i.e., mouth/teeth protection).
